# How to clean the AIRE 2 mouthpiece?

## Cleaning Your FoodMarble Device – The Dos and Don’ts

Cleaning your FoodMarble device is quick and simple, but it’s important to follow the right steps to keep it working properly.

### Don’ts ❌
To protect the sensitive gas sensors inside your device, **never**:
* Wet your device
* Submerge your device in water
* Use alcohol-based wipes
* Use any cleaning products containing silicones

Direct contact with liquid can damage the sensors, so always keep the main body of the device dry.

### Dos ✅
* Remove the **mouthpiece** before cleaning
* Wipe the mouthpiece with a soft cloth or a non-alcohol wipe
* Allow the mouthpiece to dry completely before reattaching it

### Removing the mouthpiece

To remove your AIRE 2 mouthpiece, place your thumb or fingernail into the small gap beneath the lip of the mouthpiece on the reverse side of the device (the side opposite the power button). Lift the mouthpiece upwards and away from the device.

The mouthpiece is designed to fit securely to protect the device sensors, so it may feel a little stiff at first. Please be assured that all AIRE 2 mouthpieces are fully removable, and removal typically becomes easier after one or two attempts.
