# Shipping: Customs fees

### About Customs Fees

Customs fees (sometimes called *import duties*) are taxes set by local governments on goods brought into a country. These are usually calculated as a percentage of the declared value of your order. Because they’re managed and collected directly by local authorities, we’re unable to confirm the exact amount in advance.

For your convenience, **customs fees are prepaid** on all shipments to the **United States** and the **United Kingdom**.

For other destinations — such as **Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Switzerland, and the Canary Islands** — additional customs fees may apply. You'll be notified of this at the checkout.
