What does my fermentation score mean?

A single Fermentation Score on its own may not tell you much. Your FoodMarble device is meant to be used overtime so that users can see trends and patterns in their fermentation based on their hydrogen and methane readings. By taking regular breath tests throughout the day, you will gain a deeper insight about your digestion and digestive system over time. We also strongly encourage users to log their symptoms, meals, sleep, and stress.

It's important to consider that foods you ate earlier in the day or yesterday can affect your current fermentation levels. This is why we recommend logging all your foods and symptoms. Through regular logging, you can get an overall picture of your response to different foods over the course of the day.

Your levels of fermentation are unique to you and can be affected by:

The type of food you eat
Any medications you may be taking
Any recent use of alcohol or smoking
Stress
Poor sleep
Intensive exercise

High fermentation isn't necessarily a bad thing. For this reason, symptom logging is very important. By using the FoodMarble app to record your fermentation scores and your symptoms, you will soon learn to distinguish the good fermentation from the bad fermentation (i.e. the fermentation that causes symptoms). AIRE 2: Connectivity issues or issues getting started

If you're starting out and experiencing issues with connectivity between your AIRE 2 and the FoodMarble app, your app may need to be updated or fully rebooted.

If you think the app needs to be updated, simply visit the Google Play Store or the App Store and check for updates.

If your app seems to be updated to the latest version, but you're still encountering difficulties, it's best to perform a reboot.

Please follow these steps:

Ensure that you have a stable internet / wifi connection
Delete the FoodMarble app from your phone
Visit the App Store / Google Play Store and download the app once again

FoodMarble device and iPhone Connectivity Issues

Here are some things to look out for if you're having issues getting your FoodMarble device and iPhone connected:

FoodMarble devices requires Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) to connect to your phone.

Please make sure you're using a device that includes Bluetooth LE.

Ensure Bluetooth is turned on.

Please ensure your phone's Bluetooth is turned on. If it is, try turning Bluetooth off and then on again.

Tap the Bluetooth logo to turn it off and on. Bluetooth is activated when the symbol is highlighted.

Pair your FoodMarble device with the FoodMarble app from within the app itself.

Please don't try to pair your FoodMarble device to your phone through your phone's settings, as this can cause issues. If you've done this, please "forget" your AIRE / AIRE 2 from your Bluetooth. This can be done by navigating to your phone's settings. Once there, tap "Bluetooth" then the "i" next to the name of your device. Then tap "forget this device".

Sometimes it can be helpful to forget all devices from your Bluetooth settings as well.

Once you have "forgotten" your FoodMarble device from your phone's settings, please open the FoodMarble app. When you launch the app to take a breath test, the app will attempt to connect to any nearby FoodMarble device.

Ensure your FoodMarble device and phone are well charged.

AIRE 2: Battery Depleting - Help!

If you've noticed your AIRE 2 battery is draining faster than you feel it should i.e. your device doesn't last more than one day or it drains significantly after each breath test, we have a fix that we hope will help to extend the battery life significantly.

Please follow the charging instructions below:

Once your AIRE 2 battery dies, instead of charging your AIRE 2 device from a wall socket, please plug your AIRE 2 charging cable into the USB port of a laptop, a desktop computer or even a car charging port and leave to charge for approximately 90 minutes.

By charging your AIRE 2 device from a laptop/desktop, you should notice a significant improvement in the device battery life.

My AIRE won't turn on

If you're having trouble turning your device on, first try holding down the silver power button for five seconds. There is a delay on the power button to prevent the device from turning on accidentally. This means that quickly pressing the button may not activate AIRE.

After holding the power button down for at least five seconds, check to see if the lights on the front of the device have begun to light up. Also check for a blue flashing light on the bottom device. Wait 30 seconds to see if any of the lights on the front turn on. These come on in stages as the device warms up, so if the first set isn't working it may take time to see the second set light up.

If the device didn't turn on, use the cord in the box to charge it. Ensure the charger is fully inserted into the port on your AIRE. When the device is charging, the light on the side, next to the power button, will start off red. It will turn green when the device is fully charged.
