Can I view hydrogen and methane readings separately?

Yes. You can view your breath-test results as a combined score or see separate scores for hydrogen and methane.

By default, the app presents your results as Fermentation Scores, or F-Scores. These simple readings use a 0–10 scale to provide an at-a-glance view of your fermentation levels. Alongside the combined score, you can view the individual hydrogen and methane scores to understand how much each gas contributes to a result.

For more detailed information, activate Expert Mode in the app. This displays the individual hydrogen and methane readings in parts per million (ppm), the unit also used when reporting clinical and laboratory breath-test results.

Viewing the gases separately can help you monitor hydrogen or methane trends over time, particularly if your healthcare professional has advised you to pay closer attention to one of them.
