Breath Profile and Patterns

Your Breath Profile and Fermentation Trend Line
The Fermentation Trend Line (the dotted line shown on your Breaths chart) is based on your Breath Profile and helps you understand what’s typical for your digestion throughout the day.
Once you’ve logged enough breath tests, your usual trend will appear on your Breaths chart. This allows you to compare your current results with what’s normal for your profile at that specific time of day, which can be useful for spotting progress or identifying any changes.
Each time you record a breath test, the app will indicate whether your score is lower, higher, or average for that time of day using the gauge shown above.
Note:
The Fermentation Trend Line is generated using your FoodMarble Fermentation Score, so it will not appear when you are using PPMs / Expert Mode. The trend line only displays when your Breath Settings are set to Fermentation Score.
If you are currently using Expert Mode (PPM), you can switch back at any time by going to:
Profile → Preferences → Expert Mode → Breath Settings → “Fermentation Score”
Outside Breath Profile Range
Your Breath Profile is created from breath tests logged between your wake time and the following 16 hours.
If you didn’t set your wake time when first setting up the app, this window defaults to 8:00am–11:59pm.
If you take a breath test before 8:00am or after 11:59pm, the app will show a message stating that the result is “outside breath profile range.”
To ensure all your breath tests contribute correctly to your trend data, we recommend setting your typical wake and bed times:
Profile → Preferences → Time I go to bed and wake up
After updating these times, please restart the app.
Breath Profile Incomplete
If you see a notice in the app stating “Breath Profile Incomplete,” it simply means that you do not yet have enough breath tests recorded to generate your daily Fermentation Trend Line.
To complete your Breath Profile, continue logging breath tests throughout your waking hours until enough data is available.
