How to Log and Organise Meals in the FoodMarble App
Logging your meals helps you track how your digestion responds to different foods.
Do you often log the very same meal? Now you can save your favourite meals to speed you up when logging the same meal another day.
This article takes you through the steps to log a food and shows you how to save a meal.
Logging Basics
1. Open Logging Options
Open the FoodMarble app
From your home screen, tap the + icon to open logging options.
Select Meal from the list.
2. Search for a Food
Type the name of the food into the search bar (e.g., Bread).
3. Select Your Food
Tap on the food item you want to log and a tick icon will appear when it's selected.
4. Adjust the Quantity
Tap Edit to change the portion size. Use the dial to select the right amount, then tap Save.
5. Confirm the Portion
The updated portion size will appear next to the food item.
6. Set the Time
If needed, adjust the time you ate by tapping the time and selecting the correct one. Tap Done to confirm.
7. Add a Title and Save
Optionally, add a title (e.g., “Toast”), then tap Log Meal to save it.
Organising your Meals
Saving a Meal to “My Meals”
Step 1 – Log your meal
During the logging process, as you enter a meal (e.g., Chicken avocado on sourdough), you’ll see it listed with its components.
Step 2 – Save it to “My Meals”
Tap the bookmark icon and choose the correct category (e.g., Lunch) from the dropdown menu to save it.
Accessing the “My Meals” Section
Step 1 – Open Logging options
From the home screen, tap the + icon to open all logging options.
Step 2 – Select Meal
Tap Meal from the list of logging options.
Step 3 – View your saved meals
In the Meals & Drinks screen, tap the My Meals tab.
Step 4 – Browse by category
Your saved meals will appear under their assigned categories (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks, Other). Long press on a meal to see organisation options.
Editing or Removing a Saved Meal
Step 1 – Edit a meal
Tap on the meal you want to edit. You can change its category, edit its name/contents (pencil icon), or delete it.
Step 2 – Unsave a meal
If you want to remove a meal from My Meals but not delete it entirely, tap the bookmark icon to unsave it.
